How to Achieve Spotless Skin in 5 days (Home remedy)

1.   Skin Type:

We all have different skin types and it is important to know your skin type before using any product on your face. The three types of skin are oily skin, dry skin, and the combination of both known as the hybrid mix. If you do not already know your skin type, let’s take a very simple test.

Pick up tissue paper and rub it lightly on your face. If your skin type is oily you’ll notice that the tissue will be oily, If your skin type is dry you will have little particles on the tissue and if you see both that means you have a hybrid mix skin type.

 

2.   You are what you eat:

What you take in is very essential to the health of your skin. If you take in unhealthy, greasy, and chemical-filled junk, then the tales will be told on your skin. Two of the most important things for your skin are water and fruit.

Water is as it helps the body to flush toxins out, and increases the flow of blood to your skin which gives it an even tone, it also helps to maintain Ph balance levels which will, in turn, give you glowing skin free of blemishes. Eating a lot of fruits enhances the skin immensely too.

The nutrients from the fruits sip into your skin and leave it looking fresh and healthy. If you are using skin care products and you do not watch what you are taking in, then it would yield little to no result.

 

There are a lot of chemicals that are applied to the skin to achieve spotless skin but they are not always safe and sometimes even worsen your skin condition. The best route to take for the sake of your skin is natural, especially if you have noticed chemical processed products do not help.

  1.   Detox drink (Any skin type):

This is otherwise known as the vitamin C detox. This drink helps to get rid of toxins and acts as a nutrient supplement for clear glowing skin.

How to prepare

2 liters of water

4 fresh lemons

3 Pineapple slices

 Mix together and store in your fridge for 24 hours. Pour a glass for yourself twice a day and enjoy it chilled.

 

  1.   Cold water treatment (Any Skin type):

This treatment should be done right before any kind of natural product is applied to your skin. It is done to cool the skin temperature and it also helps to open up the pores to allow the skin to assimilate the products faster.

Application :

Take an Ice cube or pack

Put it in a thin towel

Rub gently around your face for 3-5 minutes

If you have an oily skin type, use this for 5 minutes or more. If you are dealing with dry skin this should be applied for 3 minutes max.

 

  1.    Honey & Brown Sugar Scrub (All Skin types):

Honey contains amino acids and vitamins that are great for your skin, while brown sugar is a source of glycolic acid which loosens the bonds of skin cells, promotes new cell growth, and exfoliates dead cells from the outer skin.

How to Prepare and Apply:

2 tablespoons of honey

1 teaspoon of sugar

Mix till it’s a perfect blend

Apply around your face

Scrub!!

Rinse face with cold water

Clean your face with a clean towel

Apply every night before going to bed.

 

  1.  Turmeric mask (All Skin types):

Turmeric contains natural antiseptic agents that are popularly known to be used in treating wounds, black spots, acne, pimples, and lightening or evening skin tones.

How to Prepare and Apply

2 tablespoons of turmeric

Add very little water as we are aiming for a paste-like consistency

Apply the paste to your face

Leave on your face till its dry

Wash your face with cold water

Clean with a fresh towel.

 

  1.  Coconut Oil (Dry and Hybrid skin type):

Coconut oil is very for clear skin and for clearing acne from the skin. It contains antioxidants and nourishes the skin, giving it a soft baby-like texture.

Application:

Use your finger to apply the coconut oil to your face

Massage the oil gently into your skin

Leave on your face for 10- 15 minutes

Clean face with a warm towel

Apply after shower in the morning.

 

  1.   Olive Oil (Dry and hybrid skin type):

Olive oil contains vitamin E which reduces oxidative damage and rebuilds skin cells. This treatment should be used right after an exfoliative Scrub (see no.3).

Application

Use your fingers to apply olive oil to your face

Massage the oil gently into your skin

Leave on your face for 15-20 minutes

Clean face with a warm towel

Apply before going to bed.

 

  1.   Aloe Vera (Oily and hybrid skin):

Aloe Vera is popularly known for its moisturizing and hydrating effect on the skin. It is rich in vitamins A, C, E, and B 12 and has an antioxidant effect that can help repair sun damage and keep your skin free from wrinkling.

Application:

Get your aloe vera

Apply Aloe vera liquid to your face

Leave on for 5 minutes

Rinse off with cold water

Apply before going to bed.

 

N/B: Always do an allergy test before applying aloe vera to your skin. Apply a little of the product on your wrist for 24 hours to see if you have any form of reaction to it.
